From splitting wood whilst camping, or as a breaching tool following an accident, the rugged Condor Sentinel Axe is an excellent choice. Black traction coating will protect against corrosion whilst the 1075 high carbon steel is tough, resilient and can take a really sharp edge. The handle is paracord wrapped so can be unwrapped in an emergency and the Kydex sheath is tough and easily carried.
It is available with either green or desert (coyote) paracord and sheath.
